UEFA Euro 2020
The qualifiers for the European Championships will be played from March 2019 to March 2020 to determine the 24 countries that will advance to the UEFA Euro 2020 final tournament. The tournament will be held in the summer of 2020.
For the first time, the tournament finals will not be held in a single country. Former UEFA President Michel Platini said the tournament being hosted in several nations is a "romantic" one-off event to celebrate the 60th birthday of the European Championship competition.
The finals and semi-finals will be played at Wembley in London, with the group matches spread over these 11 cities: Amsterdam; Baku, Bilbao, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Glasgow, Munich, Rome and Saint Petersburg.
The qualification process is quite complicated as there are several routes to get into the finals, including through this summer’s UEFA Nations League.
